FOODMAKER

Since 2004, Foodmaker has been providing ultra-fresh and delicious meals with ingredients that come from our own organic fields whenever possible. We wash and cut vegetables ourselves, after which our chefs process them into deliciously healthy dishes. We produce sustainably without flavor enhancers, mayonnaise or refined sugars and with respect for people, animals and the planet. That is our philosophy.

Vegetables are in our DNA, but we also like to serve you a piece of responsible meat or fish. Simply, nicely balanced. This is how we contribute to your healthy, active lifestyle.


LIEVEN VANLOMMEL

Our CEO has an inspiring story that goes back four generations. Lieven's great-grandparents were already selling fruits and vegetables, and his mother was the inspirer of salad bowls with a yogurt dressing in the late 1980s. So Lieven literally grew up among vegetables and started his first business at the age of 18. In 2012, he won the "young entrepreneur of the year" award, in 2018 that for "personality of the year. Furthermore, he is known as a Belgian pioneer in the world of healthy food.


BIOVELDEN

Foodmaker's organic fields are located in a beautiful piece of nature near Diest. Our organic herbs and vegetables are passionately tended every day by organic farmer Mark. In 2020 we harvested 50 tons of sweet potato on one hectare, so we no longer have to import them from Central America. A great example of innovation and sustainability, which earned us a certificate of biocyclic vegan farming. There are only three like this in Belgium. TEAM

Lieven built friendships with like-minded people who joined in shouldering his vision. Former classmate Jeroen Meus made our first penne arrabbiata and Jeroom was appointed creative director. Lieven's wife Marijke is responsible for product development in our kitchen, and brother-in-law Wouter takes care of our partnerships. Every day hundreds of people work on Foodmaker, many of whom have been with us since the beginning.
